About Me
I don't know exactly when I discovered my love for stories. I've been reading since before I can remember. I read a lot. Everything from Mouse Soup to The Eye of the World. I love stories.
When I was in second grade I was sitting next to my best friend Jacob in the middle of math hour. I hated math and still do. I think we were just beginning to learn about long division, and I turned to Jacob with a determined expression on my face and said, "I'm gonna be an author, because being an author doesn't involve math." Ever since then I've been writing. I finished my first book at age 11, my second and third at 14, and my third and fourth at 15, and I'm currently closing up a few novels.
In summer of 2011 I decided that I was going to be a writer. I actually decided. I had wanted to be one my whole life, but I had never actually realized how much I needed to be one. I need to tell my stories to people. I need to write. It's the only way I'll be happy. I discovered that after I finished watching Kaleb Nation's "How To Write A Book" YouTube video. It's single-handedly the most defining moment in my whole life. A similar experience occurred on October 11, 2011, after the launch party of James Dashner's The Death Cure. I was talking to him after the signing, and I had that same exact feeling, less monumental and special, though, as I did when I finished watching Mr. Nation's video.
Now I'm writing, and making videos for YouTube, because one day I hope to publish books and direct/produce/write movies. Because I love telling stories.
